"Lies" playlist

Lonesome Dave here with the playlist for the "Lies" CD. We had to compete with the Oscars, so it was a slow night at the Turf Club - everyone who stayed home missed one of Pocahontas County's best Theme Time sets yet, including an exceptional cover of "Patience" that had the entire bar frozen with anticipation - Axl Rose himself probably can't belt out the end of that song as well as Eric Larson did last night! Special guest Jeremy Gordon delivered a moving performance of Elvis Costello's "So Like Candy" as well, and there was plenty of bluesy guitar shreddin' with Doug Otto and the Getaways and Reina Del Cid and the Cidizens. All in all a memorable Theme Time!

Here's the playlist for the CD. The Hymie's computer was in the shop all week, so I had to go with the playlist I started a while back when we first chose "Lies" as the theme. A few songs that were added to my actual set during the night were left off, and the disc you took home sort of jumps from genre to genre.

And below, for posterity, is the image created by my good friend Paul Burnham for the posters.
